Hey y’all!
I’m so excited to share some of my favorite recipes with you that I’ve prepared throughout the years! I’m a cook, not a chef. I don’t create my own recipes, but I’m a good gatherer and reader and love to read recipe books in my spare time. Most of these recipes have been gathered from cookbooks involving churches, farmers’ wives, friends, and family. I love every one of these recipes and they are served on my table throughout the year.

I believe that food gathers people around the table. I have had the best times surrounded by family, friends, new acquaintances, and guests traveling through our town. Some of my best memories were made in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church, Pawhuska, Oklahoma. From Wednesday night fellowship suppers to bridal showers and more. That place was always filled with tasty delights for everyone to enjoy!

One of the reasons I wanted to produce a cookbook is because I believe one of the ways you show people you love them is by cooking for them. There are so many stories in the Bible of women showing hospitality by cooking meals for many people. It’s important to your family, friends, and even strangers that sit at your table. I wouldn’t call my selection of recipes in this book healthy, but memory makers creating a cozy home with comfort foods. I want my home to be known as comfortable and filled with a spirit of peace, love, and joy. My prayer is that people will remember my home for good food and that the love of Jesus was present and recognized.

My tagline for life is, “The Party Don’t Stop!”. I want to be remembered by my family, friends, and everyone I meet that I’m filled with contagious joy. Where does that joy come from? Jesus! Jesus extends an invitation to everyone to come home to Him. He created us, died on the cross for us, and still chases after us because He loves us so much.

My favorite part of accepting this invitation, is the Bible says in Luke 15:10, Jesus said, “I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” Why do they rejoice? Not because they’re surprised, but because a great victory has been won. So, that is why I live a life saying, “The party don’t stop!”

I love celebrating people with food. I pray you create lots of memories around the table with delicious food, great conversation, and thankfulness to God for all of it.

Party Don’t Stop,
Chrissie aka “Pretty”
