Hello 2022!

Welcome to 2022! I have to admit as a young woman, when people would talk about the future, I that the year 2022 would include a life like Betty Jetson! Well, I am sure that Betty’s lifestyle will not happen in my lifetime, but some of the things that she enjoyed in her home are not too far-fetched in today’s times.
I am looking forward to this year and a fresh beginning in my life. I know that God’s mercies are new every day, but there is something about a new year that helps me refocus, rethink and redo things in my life. During the holiday season, my sleep patterns look different, eating habits change, and life is lived at a different pace…especially, that week between Christmas and New Year’s. I do, however, love to think, pray and plan about all of the things that I would like to do in the new year. Here is a list of some of the things that I’m thinking about…
What is my plan to grow spiritually?
How should my eating patterns change?
What is the Lord asking me to do this year for His Kingdom?
How can I use my home to bring the Lord Glory?
What is my plan to serve my neighbors?
What is the Lord asking me to teach in 2022?
I have decided what I am doing to get to know Jesus better. I am doing Paul Tripp’s devotion book, “New Morning Mercies” and The Bible Recap with Tara-Leigh Cobbs. Tara has created a great way to read through the Bible in a year. Her thoughts on the verses that you read each day are awesome! I read the assigned scriptures each day and then listen to her 15-minute podcast on my way to work. It works great for me! I am also adding a new way to pray. I am using a notebook and recording my thoughts on my Bible readings and then writing my prayers for me and my family, extended family and friends, requests from people, my church, missionaries in the U.S. and around the world. I have problems staying focused while I am praying and I am hoping this format will help me. I am taking prayer time seriously! I feel like I am in knee deep in battles with the enemy and he will not win!
I am also committing to make an entry every week on this blog. So, stay tuned as we go into the year 2022 together! I would love to pray for you and encourage you during this year. Drop me a line and let’s get this party started! This year will be filled with ups and downs, BUT our God will not let us down!
Party Don’t Stop,
Chrissie
